About Me
I, Felisa M. Perry, am a limited licensed professional counselor (LLPC) in the state of Michigan and my specialty is Couples, Marriage and Family Counseling. I received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling at Oakland University. I have extensive experience working with couples, marriage and family issues. I also work with individual issues including depression, grief and loss, anxiety and life transitions. I have facilitated many support groups including parenting, couples, divorce, anger management, self-esteem and confidence, and woman issues. I have also planned and implemented workshops pertaining to parents and family life skills training. In addition, I am a professional premarital counselor.
My counseling approach is based on exploring family of origin issues, cognitive behavioral strategies, reality theory, solution-focused and the use of humor and metaphor. I believe that a flexible theoretical framework and using a wide repertoire of skills allows me to partner with and empower clients in their journeys of discovery and growth. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Michigan Counseling Association, and the Michigan Association of Marriage and Family Counseling.
Our work together will reflect your individuality, your unique life experiences, and the self-knowledge you already possess- whether you are seeking individual therapy, couple’s counseling, family counseling, or other counseling assistance with your life and those you care about.

"Felisa has been like an angel to me. It's been nice to have someone hold my hand through things that made my life difficult, but at the same time, it's nice to have someone guide me to stand on my own and stand proud. Strength and pride that was in me - somewhere - and was found through hard work and persistence." ~E.M.T.
"Felisa has been a part of our family for over 9 years. I don't know what we'd
do without her. She is great, understanding and has given us so many tools to help ourselves. Marital therapy has gone very well, and she has been so available and accommodating throughout the years. What I like the most about her is that she has created a safe environment to be open and has helped us to develop coping skills as people, as a couple and as parents. I apply the life lessons and quotes I learned from Felisa, and find myself teaching my kids the same lessons. I couldn't imagine life without her. Thank you Felisa! ~RN
