Welcome! I, Marlaine DesRosiers, am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

I have a caring heart for the hurting and work with adults, teens, children, couples, and families. I have a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor College. I do goal-oriented, family-based therapy. I have worked with depression, anxiety, domestic violence, post-traumatic stress, sexual abuse, and attention-deficit issues. I am happy to offer marital, grief, anger management, self-injury, family unification, and Christian therapy. I have a strong desire to aid you with improving your relationships, coping skills, self-esteem level, and with overcoming depression, and finding peace of heart and mind. I have also run adult, teen, and middle-school DBT groups to improve coping skills. A first visit will allow you an opportunity to meet me and to do an assessment of presenting issues and struggles.

I want you to have a good counseling experience and to finish with resolved issues and improved relationships. My hope is for you to go forth with joy. I believe in your potential and want to help you on your journey of experiencing the fullness of life as it was meant to be lived. I have a passion to help you learn to communicate more effectively with those you love so that healing may occur where relationships may have broken down.
