It is frequently difficult for kids to handle their anger effectively and constructively. Yet, uncontrolled anger can create both a hostile home and school environment, destroy relationships, make learning difficult, and possibly escalate into violence.
The goal of the “Handling Your Anger Workshop” is to help kids learn how to identify their anger triggers and anger cues, understand the consequences of
their behavior, express and manage anger
effectively and constructively, and how to
respond to anger directed at them.
Controlling one’s anger is a lifelong challenge. Through these anger-management techniques, kids will have the skills necessary to deal constructively with their own anger so they can successfully meet this challenge throughout their lives.
